Sunday Update!

I spent all day resting and not doing much of anything. I seem to have caught a nasty cold.
My Fathers service was so hard, but it was amazing the number of people who showed up and shared their feelings and experiences. People I did not even know told me of how much my Father had helped them. I was very touched, to know that my Dad had touched so many people.

Thank you again for all your prayers. They have meant so much to me.

It is so strange that we never really do know our parents..sometimes i wonder what it would have been like to grow up with them at the same ages. Would I have had them for friends?
My first visit and you have a beautiful journal.

Hearing how your dad touched other's lives must have been wonderful. *BIG HUGS* He sounds like he was a wonderful man, and you've got a lot of him in you.

Sounds like you are doing okay...just keep taking it one day at a time, and I'm keeping you in my thoughts!

Well now I feel like crap. I haven't visited in awhile because my sidebar said you hadn't updated (6 hr. limit on that), and then when I do, I read this. I'm so sorry for you. I wish I'd been by to say that at a more opportune time. And to say happy birthday too.

I'm glad you were there with him at the end. One of my fears in life is that I won't be around for mine. I would really hate that. Big hugs to you dear!

Funerals are for the living. Your loss makes every problem of mine extremely minor. Thinking of you a lot.

I lost my Mom three years back Jill. On the way home from the office, I stopped by and visited her.
Don't hesitate to go see him every once in a while now. He's still Dad, and still listens.

One day at a time Jill. It's been 2 years since I lost mom and it does get better with time! That you heard so many share their feelings is such a blessing.

Thanks Jill for the update, I can't even imagine what you are going through. You have my prayers, I have been thinking of you everyday since you told us.

Hoping you can shake that nasty cold quickly. Just rest and try relaxing some. Take care friend! (((((Hugs))))))
