Back to work!

The day after!

Christmas this year was full of many surprises. Just being surrounded by family and friends is the greatest gift. This year I received a great Christmas surprise. Every year I take great care with my children's stocking. The stockings are one of the best memories my children have of Christmas. This year I hung 4 stockings. One for each of my 2 boys, one for my oldest son's girlfriend and of course one for me. Every year on Christmas morning the stockings are full and its the first thing my children open. Of course mine hangs empty. This year I woke up around 1am on Christmas morning, unable to sleep. So I went into the living room to make sure all was in place for the morning, and much to my surprise, My stocking was also full. The tears of joy started to fall and I knew that all was well. It touched my heart so much to find out that my oldest son and his girlfriend had snuck into my home late in the night and left me with this wonderful gift. I know Christmas is not all about gifts, and the love those children left me in that stocking filled my heart with so much joy.

The apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who is brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

My new Grandpuppy!

My new grandpuppy arrived last night! He is so cute.
This weekend has been nuts. I have been recovering from a major pulled muscle,(do not ask how) so I have not got much done. The muscle relaxers and pain meds make my brain stupid. I really hate that feeling. Thanks to the internet I was able to get most of my Christmas shopping done in my PJ'S!! Got to just love that. I'm working my my list of 101 things about me, but under the influence of drugs its kinda hard. I guess I should just post what I have and go from there.

According to the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, while both male and female reindeer grow antlers in the summer each year, male reindeer drop their antlers at the beginning of winter, usually late November to mid-December. Female reindeer retain their antlers till after they give birth in the spring.

Therefore, according to EVERY historical rendition depicting Santa's reindeer, EVERY single one of them, from Rudolph to Blitzen, had to be a girl.

Well after my day off and power shopping it's back to work for me. It;s a good thing I love my job(gag). No really I do. Its getting up early that sucks. I am really not a morning person. I will ramble more later. I need to get ready for work.

Christmas Shopping!!

Its a total pain!! I took today off from work so I could shop all day. It really was not to busy. I'm glad I went on a weekday. I have been shopping all day! But I did pick up some really cute things at Victorias Secret....I got a gift card for my birthday so I treated myself......Even though my birthday is a couple of weeks off. I did get lots of shopping done today, thank God. Every year I tell myself not to wait until the last minute, but I never listen to myself. I did most of my shopping online so I just have a few more things to pick up and Im DONE!!!!! Then I have to wrap it all!!! Christmas is so much work!!

I also just found out I am getting a new grandpuppy, my son has promised no actual grandkids for awhile. So this week my new grandpuppy will fly into the airport, that must be really scary for a pup. He is an English Bulldog, my son has always wanted one so he and his girlfriend gave it to each other as a Christmas gift. I picked him up a book today about the care of this type of dog. I also picked up a copy of Post Secret. Its a blog that is so awesome if you have not checked it out you should. There is a link in my sidebar, head on over and check it out!! So anyway I can't wait to see him and I will post pictures when he gets here.

Seldom do I get political on here but on this issue I firmly support our governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's decision not to grant Clemency to former Crips gang leader Stanley Tookie Williams. So woopie doo...The man wrote some books about staying out of gangs that he helped form and these gangs continue to kill. My question is where would he be now if he had not been convicted. Writing books to help kids? I think not!!! He had a right to a fair trial, which he got. He had the right to file God knows how many freaking appeals, as far as I am concerened he now has no rights.

The Tree!!!!

The tree is done!! I even got some shopping done.I just love Christmas.

Thank the Lord above the Christmas tree is up and half decorated!! I still have tons of shopping to do. So tomorrow is up early for me, got to finish the tree, get my nails done, do some shopping, some more decorating and then I'm getting really really drunk!!!!!!!!!

Happy Birthday!!!

Today is my oldest son's Birthday. It so hard to believe its been 22 years.Thats right at 7:07pm I gave birth to a 9 pound 2 oz baby boy! It seems like just not to long ago he was just a baby. I guess he will always be my baby in my heart. I am very proud of him. Holy shit 22 years!!!!! That just can't be right. I'm still so young and youthful! No...Its right. Oh lord I'm getting old!! Not much I can do about it. I still feel young and I guess that's all that matters. 22 freaking years...I'm just not dealing with this well. I think beer & tequila will help. Yep that should do it!!!

Lessons I learned today....

1. Short people should always use a ladder when checking the fuse box that is to high for you to reach.

2. You should always wear your glasses when checking the fuse box so that you can see the blown fuse.

3. Blown fuses are easy to see if you have are standing on a ladder with your glasses on!!

What's Next?!

The weekend went fast as usual. I did manage to get some Christmas shopping done and some of the decorations are up and I got my oldest son's birthday present, picking out the card was rough..Yes I'm the women in the card section crying...why do they have to make them so emotional? I'm still searching for my mind which seems to be on permanent vacation.....LOL...... I'm beginning to think I lost it along time ago and have just now realized its gone. As I was getting ready for work this morning and doing my usual talking to GOD asking for guidance and asking that question I always do " When are you going to be done testing me?" Seriously I think I have been through enough and its time GOD let up on me a little. I head into my bedroom as the power goes off!! I panic thinking my hair is still wet and now what am I gonna do?, about that time my son points out that its just my room and we have power in the rest of the house. So I throw on my robe and out in the freezing cold I head to the breaker box. It all looks good there, so off I head to the basement to check out the fuse box. Its then I realize I don't know how to tell if a fuse is bad, so I change the ones I think are bad and still no luck. I have to go to work because I am such a dedicated employee and payroll needs to be done. So here I sit wondering how I am gonna fix this problem. Yesterday I had to put on my plumber hat at the bar and unclog a sink that was not draining. The crap that comes out of them is really gross!! I call my mom and she says she will come over after work and check it out for me. You have got to love my MOM she can just about do anything, except use a computer or a cell phone, the new technology throws her for a loop, but she can do plumbing and electric and construction. She has taught me well and normally I can do most of the home repairs myself. But I do tend to panic, thinking the worst and with my mind still missing is not helping. So yesterday I was a plumber and tonight I will be an electrician!! I am woman hear me ROAR!!! So I'm sure that I will have power back in my room by tonight. Well I just seem to be rambling, but I guess its my blog and I can if I want.

Slowly I feel my mind returning to me, it seems to be coming back slowly, almost as if it is afraid. Or maybe it is I who is afraid? I sure miss it, but I do hope it had a wonderful time while it was gone.
