WOW!!

Understanding
Dominant Personality: Understanding

Good Traits: You gravitate towards people,
and are a shoulder to lean on. You give advice
at any given time.

Bad Traits: You aren't close with any one
person. You immerse yourself in other people's
problems and forget your own.

People see you as: Friendly, secretive, and
popular. People envy you, and may try and use
you as a tool

You're most like: Grace. You both have
positive relationships with people. Neither of
you have close friends, but unlike graceful
people, you try to help people out and aren't
as arrogant.

You need more: Solitude. You hardly get the
chance to breathe when you take on the world's
problems. You can't take other's
responsibilities or put them before your own.
Be selfish once in a while and discover who you
really are.

My Tummy Hurts!!!

One of my favorite things to do with my son is watch movies. We have theme nights. Last night we had Willy Wonka night. Its one of our favorite movies. So when the new version came out we had to have it. So what you do is buy lots of candy, cookies and ice cream. Pop in the movies and eat all the candy you want. Its really lots of fun.

The new version is good but I really do not think anyone can ever top Gene Wilder! He was awesome as Willy Wonka!

Have a super Wednesday!!

Weekend Update!!

Weekends go so fast, I did not get any painting done. But I baked some awesome cookies. I went out Friday night dancing. I love to dance and have not been in ages. I had a blast. It has been along time since I have hit the hot spots out of town. I was glad to get out of this town if just for the night.

Saturday brought a call from an ex boyfriend(from 4 years ago) it was great to chat. We must have talked for 2 hours. We talked about our breakup and neither of us could come up with why it happened. He asked if I had been to our favorite restaurant, which I have not. It was our place, Im silly that way I guess. We always went for drives to find the most out of the way places to eat. He was very close to both of my boys, as a matter of fact my oldest son and his friends still talk about him and tell me I made a huge mistake letting him go. So I guess today Im feeling kinda sentimental, and wishing that things could have been different with him. Who knows maybe this will be a new beginning for us. I know that I miss him and his quirky ways. Maybe nothing will come of it, but I know I will always love him and he will always be one of my true friends.

Sunday is almost over and tomorrow brings a new day.

Hope you all had a super weekend!

I moved!!

I decided to move my blog because of personal reasons. I just felt that I needed a place to vent about things in my life. It becomes hard to do that when sometimes the people I want to vent about read my blog. Ok so its my fault I gave out my blog address. So I withdrew and it sucked. So it was just easier to move. But it only took that certain person a very short time to find my new site. So I will post whatever I want and if it hurts you, remember you made the choice to come here.

So here we go!!!

I am human, I hurt, I love, and I trust!

A Love Story

I will seek and find you . . .

I shall take you to bed and have my way with you .

I will make you ache, shake & sweat until you moan & groan.

I will make you beg for mercy, beg for me to stop.

I will exhaust you to the point that you will be relieved when I'm finished with you.

And, when I am finished, you will be weak for days.

All my love,

The Flu.

Now, get your mind out of the gutter and go get your flu shot!!!

Pumpkins

This years Pumpkins came out pretty good!! We still have 2 more to do!!

Flip Off Friday!!

Woo Hoo!

Finally Flip Off Friday!

Today I give one big Flip Off to my Personel Stalker.....(yes I know you come here every day)
You call me a BITCH like its a bad thing!

When I stand up for myself and my beliefs, they call me a bitch.
When I stand up for those I love, they call me a bitch.
When I speak my mind, think my own thoughts or do things my own way, they call me a bitch.
Being a bitch means I won't compromise what's in my heart.
It means I live my life MY way.
It means I won't allow anyone to step on me.
When I refuse to tolerate injustice and speak against it, I am defined as a bitch.
The same thing happens when I take time for myself instead of being everyone's maid, or when I act a little selfish.
It means I have the courage and strength to allow myself to be who I truly am and won't become anyone else's idea of what they think I "should" be.
I am outspoken, opinionated and determined.
I want what I want and there is nothing wrong with that!
So try to stomp on me, try to douse my inner flame, try to squash every ounce of beauty I hold within me.
You won't succeed. And if that makes me a bitch, so be it.
I embrace the title and am proud to bear it.

Have a super weekend!!

Seattle

My trip to Seattle was brief but fun. I got to see the Space Needle from the rental car as we drove by on the freeway to our meeting. It would have been nice to actually stay and see some sights, but it was only a fly in, fly out kinda trip.

I'm going to put Seattle on my places I want to visit before I die.

My oldest son is making the move into his new house. So now comes the fun part! I get to decorate!!!

Have a super Hump day!!!!

Corn Maze

Today we took our annual trip to the Corn Maze!! Its always lots of fun. It took us almost an hour to complete the maze. I was pretty sure this year we where going to be stuck in there forever. By the time we finally made it out I had made up my mind that I am going to quit smoking!!I will not forever be attached to my inhaler.(which I left in the car).It damn near killed me and I want to be able to enjoy activities like this for many years to come. The photo above is the actual Corn field. It is put on every year by the local 4-H club. After the corn maze we get our pumpkins that we will carve for Halloween. It took us longer to pick out the perfect pumpkins than to complete the maze.

We always carve one pumpkin for each of us. The third pumpkin is carved in honor of my dear friend CWG who pasted away in 1997.

Flip Off Friday!!

Happy Flip Off Friday!!!!

Today I am going to give a really HUGE DOUBLE Flip off to...........the 3 T's rule!! (see post dated 10/18/2005) I have made a decision to base the length of time I must avoid the 3T's based on the length of a relationship. The actual 3 T's time limit was based on a very intense 2 year relationship that had just ended. So that comes out to 25%. Based on this I only have to avoid the 3T's for 1.5 months.
OMG......it has been over 1.5 months!!!!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!

Have a very very happy weekend!!!!!

Full Moon

Tonight after I picked up my youngest son from Boy Scouts, he was rambling about Armageddon. I was kinda listening to him when I heard him say that we will know when Armageddon is going to happen because monkeys will fly out of our ears!!! WOW!! I think that's good to know. I just have to wonder if they will be miniature monkeys, cause I think it would hurt like hell to have big ones flying out your ears.

Sometimes he is so helpful, usually when is is avoiding doing his home work. He just made me a cup of tea to relax my muscles and help me sleep. He knows I can't sleep on a full moon. I must be part Werewolf. My grandpa is the same way, not a Werewolf, he can't sleep for 3 nights on a full moon!

Well I'm off to see if I can't get some sleep!! Night all!!

Monday Monday!!!!

My morning started off on an unusual note, I woke up around my usual time 6am, headed for the coffee pot and grabbed my smokes, settled myself into my chair, when I heard an awful commotion coming from my back door. So off I go to investigate. Its rather dark out so I at first can not see where this noise is coming from, so I turn on the light...And lo and behold...Its my Grand Puppy, Rex(who is not so much a puppy anymore but a full grown huge lab)!! Well actually just his head stuck in the cat door, I instantly opened the door trying to free him from the cat door. (I should have grabbed my camera instead) It was just too funny!!! I managed to free him and boy was he happy!!! I do not know how long he had been there. Rex has been staying at my mothers house about 4 blocks away from my home, while my oldest son's house is completed. How he got away from her house is still a mystery. The rest of my day has been rather normal.

Hope ya all had a great Monday!!!!!

12th Anniversary

I touched on Domestic Violence in my Oct 5th post . Today marks the 12th anniversary of the beginning of my journey out of that situation. It was a long hard fight, but I feel I am a better person today because of it.

So in honor of this date, I am taking back my blog. I have been very careful recently of the things I have posted about,I have even deleted and reworded posts, but this is my blog. I created it to express my thought and feelings. So from this day forward I plan to do just that!!

Have a super Tuesday everyone!!!

WORD FOR THE DAY

Finish each day and be done with it.
You have done what you could.

forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day.
You shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit
to be encumbered with your old nonsense.

October Marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month

I did not write this message, I only borrowed it to share with you. Eleven years ago I was where Rachel was, but by the grace of God I survived. You may ask yourself, why we just don't leave? The answer to that is the abuse gets worse after we leave, and our abuser looses control, they do everything in their power to get us back. It becomes a living hell, worse than the one we where in, so we go back to stop the pain, and it does stop for awhile, then the cycle starts all over again. I remember as if it where yesterday the first time he put me in the hospital. I was asked many questions about what happened and of course I lied, but in my head I was screaming out, Please help me! But all I could think about was my baby sitting out in the waiting room with the man who put me in the hospital. Would he take him? Would he hurt him? So I kept silent. 6 months later I did leave for good,I endured 3 years of living hell, always looking over my shoulder, always watching. Today I live a happy and complete life with my two sons.

You can find more information by clicking on the title of this post. To reach the National Domestic Violence Hotline 1-800-799-SAFE (7233)

On April 26, 2000 Rachel died at the hands of her ex-husband.
I leave this for you as a memorial to someone I had just begun a friendship with.

Rachel's Story- To Hell and Back
by: Rachel
Mar 24 2000 04:51 AM
I have been graciously asked to share my story with all of you on this message board. Here it is:

Rachel's Story

I have read a lot of statistics and personal testimonies about Domestic Violence situations. Most of us know the patterns. Most of us are familiar with the statistics. Oftentimes statistics are just numbers unless you or someone you know have become one and have lived that hell personally. Many of us have, including myself. While we can, and should, do our part as individuals and as groups, to lobby for protection, for awareness, and for support, we also need to realize that, as difficult as it may seem, each of us has been given free will. While it may seem the most difficult thing to accept that we maintain some control of our destiny in most cases- especially after years of being told otherwise- it is ultimately the most empowering realization. I know it was for me. As a victim of the most extreme forms of physical and verbal domestic abuse for six years- having been beaten bloody and unconscious on a regular basis, having been raped and tortured almost daily- I came to a point where I knew that while I had the support of family and friends, it was ultimately me alone who would make the final decision to walk away from something that wasn't right and could no longer continue. That was probably the most difficult thing for me to do in my whole life. I always believed that marriage is something you do not take lightly. I took the words "till death do us part" literally up to that point. My children- whom I loved and cherished more than anything in the world- were the product of this marriage. Up until I made this difficult decision, I thought it was my duty to God, and to my family to continue things as they were. Until I realized that "till death do us part" took on a whole new meaning. If I had stayed, this man would have killed me. Each beating escalated to the point that I was convinced this man will end my life at some point had I stayed. Imagine how I felt the day I decided to walk away for my own safety and for the safety of my children. I didn't sneak out of the house. I waited for the father of my children to come home. I looked him in the face and told him I was leaving, and with escorts, I did so with my children and ran for three years in fear. Today, I have attained the financial stability to provide for my family after a long and hard road, that far exceeds the money my ex husband would not allow me to have in our marriage. Today, I am engaged in a wonderful, healthy relationship that made me realize that I wasn't the problem all along as my ex husband told me every time I was beaten for offenses only unacceptable to him. I cannot promise you financial success after you leave a marriage, nor will I tell you that leaving a marriage or relationship is the right thing to do in a particular case. But I will tell you that the cycle of violence can end with you and with those whom you allow to help you should you find yourself trapped in an abusive relationship. From the time I said "I do" I fell under the umbrella of statistics that show that a woman is battered every 15 seconds in this country. In the time it took you to read this, approximately 6 women were battered in one form or another by an intimate. What happens behind closed doors is not none of our business, because behind those closed doors could be your sister, your mother, your daughter, your friend..even you..This is how I envision a stop in the cycle. I envision a candle that lights the way for others. I have a candle and perhaps others do as well. And that is a start, but imagine what happens when the flames of two or more candles join. They shine brighter and with greater strength but don't suffer in their individuality. So, I have a flame and maybe you or someone you know does also. What do you want to do with them? They could mean the difference between life and death for those who cannot yet make their voices heard.

Just one month and two days after this was written
Rachel was beaten.
She lived long enough to tell authorities who did it.

Music

The new Nickleback CD comes out today!! If I did not have to work I'd be at the store right now! I have to have it. I listen to a wide variety of music, classic rock, reggae, country, jazz. You name it! I listen to it. I feel it has a way of cleansing the soul.

So today I leave you with one of my favorite lyrics from Kid Rock! This was my morning commute music. You have got to hear the whole song it Rocks!!!!!

"Run Off to LA"

Its a classic line baby I just wanna be friends
But baby my friends don't have the keys to my Mercedes Benz,
no I think I know what you mean
You wanna talk and such
Tell me all your problems
But we don't fuck
Aint that right
I had plenty of friends before I met you
I don't need no more
So now I thinks its time you started headin out for that door,
and even tho I feel real bad tonight
Please pack your shit
And take the first train out of my life

I have decided I need a hobby. So I'm taking up photography! I just purchased this camera after much research. Maybe I can turn it into a business. I really need some more deductions. I had to pay taxes out the ass for last year!

Have a super day!!!

Sunday Confession

I love the Monster Truck Nationals!! We go every year. Its just something about men in big trucks. Lord!!! Those guys are Hot Hot Hot! Tom Meentz in Maximum Destruction is my all time favorite! I have a collection of autographed T's from all the years that we have gone. I even have a collection of small Monster Trucks!

So, if that's a sin, I ask the Lord to forgive me! I really do not think it is a sin, just a little unknown fact about me!

Flip Off Friday!

Now you have to admit, that's really cute! Its not one of my cats, but I do think they flip me off on a daily basis. They are just way too sneaky for me to see them in action.

So on we go to Flip Off Friday!

Today I dedicate one really big double Flip Off to every Government Grant we have ending today! Why do we have to wait until the very last minute to spend the money that we have had for a year!!! It just does not make any sense to me! But I guess that's Government work!!!!!

I have another busy weekend planned. Every year my youngest son and I attend the Monster Truck Rally! Its our annual Redneck event! Then its off to watch the Dallas kick the Raider's butt on Sunday!! Thats for you Tina!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!!

Weekend Update

The weekend was awesome! I did not get my car back on Friday, thanks to hurricane Rita which held up shipment of a much needed part. But when I think about what people have lost due to all the current storms, I really was not angry. Whats a couple of extra days with out my car when other have lost so much more.

Saturday I spend the evening watching movies with my best friend. We had fun I don't think I have laughed so hard in along time. Sunday was spent at another friends home for BBQ and football. I have taken my weekends back and only do my bar work on week nights. I'm enjoying my new schedule. It gives me more time with my kids and Im currently doing home improvements. I was scraping wallpaper (3 layers) off my hallway walls when I recieved a call from an old friend, I have not talked to him in a long time. It was great to hear from him, he could always put a smile on my face.

So all in all the weekend was time for catching up with old friends!

Have a super monday!!!!!!

Broken!!!

Today's post goes out to my Cube-mate, Tina. She has had a couple of rough weeks. Last week her son the Star Quarter Back for our local High school football team, was injured during practice and received a broken hand. The good news is that the injury will only keep him out of the game for three weeks!!!! WooHoo!!!

But, last night she called me with the news that her daughter while at a 4-H meeting was outside and several of the boys where rough housing with her, causing her to fall and break her arm!!!! Boy when it rains it pours!!!!

So just a message to boys and men, Do not wrestle with girls or ladies!!! You are much stronger than us and and your intention may not be to hurt us, but it can happen!!!

My thought are with ya Tina!!!

    Home Coming & A Birthday

Today my Grandfather is 91 years old!!!!!
Happy Birthday Grandpa!!!! We had a celebration last night for him. It was great to have the family together.

Today my oldest son is coming home to stay until the construction on his new home is done. Its only for a couple of weeks, but I am very excited to have both of my boys home again!!! I know we raise them to go off on there own, but it is so hard when they do. He has been living on his own since he graduated from High School, and I have missed him so. So tonight we are having a celebration here...a nice BBQ and family time!!!!!!

Always remember.........They are all good days.....just some are better than others!!!!!!

    Meditation Retreat

I received an email from an old friend the other day to attend a weekend retreat to study the teaching of Jon Kabat-Zinn, PHD. If you have never meditated and wish to he is the one to study. I have been using his practices since 1998 after being diagnosed with Fibromyalgia (there is a link to FibroHug in my side bar if want to know what this is) To sum it up it a silent diease that is very painful. Not only did it help me deal with my pain, it helped me find me and I was able to be truly happy with my life. OK back to the email. I at first did not want to attend, but as I took stock of my recent feelings of unhappiness, failed relationships, and my lack of motivation at work. I longed to be back the time when I was truly happy with me and the life I have worked so hard to have. So I decided to attend, and am so thankful I did. The weekend was just what I needed to come back to the place where I was content and happy. It reminded me how easy it is to fall back into the life you no longer wanted and worked so hard to put behind you. For those of you who have never meditated or attened a retreat they go like this. You take only food and comfy clothes. You leave all connections (cellphones, computers) to the outside world at home. You travel to a wonderful relaxing place where nature abounds. One whole day is spent in complete silence and no eye contact from those also attending. It is your time to reflect and meditate alone and as a group. You completely leave all your worries and stress and become one with your mind and body. The second day is reflecting on your feelings and more meditation. It is truly an amazing experience, and one that I have greatly missed, and I am thankful for the chance to return to who I truly am.
Now as I gently fall back into the life I love, I know in my heart I am whole again.

    Drops

I spent some time in my back yard taking photos of my fish pond. These are two of my favorites. Just water drops, so simple, so pure. I suppose I have forgotten to enjoy lifes simple pleasures.

    Tuesday!!!

I got to thinking today......Ya know what pisses me off someone who lies to you and then thinks you are so stupid that you don't know they are lying. When the truth is all I ever asked for in the first place. Just a thought to ponder!!!!!

    Weekend Update!!

Busy weekend..I rested like the Dr. said. It was all I really felt like doing, all snuggled in my PJ's, just chilling...Yes life is good. I was beginning to get board Saturday afternoon and was feeling & breathing much better, I soooooo need to quit smoking, But that's a whole different post. My sister called and invited me to a BBQ. I really did not want to go, but I really needed to get out of the house. My son was already there, so I headed over there. We had so much fun!!!! Friends I had not seen in months where there. We played bean bags in partners. We sucked but it was still fun. Good food, family and friends, it was a great night, long but fun.

Today my son and I went shopping!!! I got my nails done and he got a hair cut. When we got back to town we stopped and visited with my oldest son. Shook some dice, chatted with friends. All in all a super day.

It feels good to be me again!!!!!!!!!!

    They need our help!!

    American Red Cross

In times like this we must put aside the petty things that are going on in our own lives to help those who have lost so much.

If you can't donate, please say a prayer for all who have suffered in this tragedy.

    My World

    Artist: 3 Doors Down
    Album: Seventeen Days
    Title: My World

    Your stuck on a chain
    And your toeing a lie
Seems like everytime that you catch up
    You only fall behind

And your trapped inside this world you made yourself
but that's not the world I live in
this is not the life for me
cause my world is bigger than your problems
    and it's bigger than me
that's not the world I live in
this is not the life for me
cause my world is bigger than your problems
    and it's bigger than me

There is always someone to blame
for the things you do yourself
you think that everything that's going wrong
    is because of someone else

And your trapped inside this world you made yourself
that's not the world I live in
this is not the life for me
cause my world is bigger than your problems
    and it's bigger than me
it's not the world I live in
this is not the life for me
cause my world is bigger than your problems
    and it's bigger than me
cause i'm lonely outside and i'll look on in

And that's not the world I live in
this is not the life for me
cause my world is bigger than your problems
    and it's bigger than me
it's not the world I live in
this is not the life for me
cause my world is bigger than your problems
    and it's bigger than me
cause my world is bigger than your problems
    and it's bigger than me...

    Delete Delete Delete

Was it that easy for you?!!!!!!
